Convenient Ketamine

Starting ketamine therapy can be both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking if you’re not sure what’s ahead. Convenient Ketamine’s in-home service is designed to make this experience as comfortable as possible, giving you the option to set the environment for your treatment and prepare for each stage with confidence.

Preparation for Your Session

Before your first session, our team will have a medical consultation to ensure ketamine is the right choice for you. During this initial stage, we’ll also discuss your treatment goals and help you decide on any details about your session setup. You can choose where in your home to receive the treatment—many find that creating a calm space with comfortable lighting, soothing music, and minimal distractions makes a big difference in their experience.

We recommend:

  • Calm Lighting: Soft lighting, such as lamps or string lights, can be relaxing.
  • Comfortable Seating or Bedding: A supportive recliner, bed, or sofa where you feel fully at ease.
  • Optional Music: A playlist of relaxing, instrumental tunes or nature sounds can help you settle into the experience.

During the Session

Once you’re ready, our licensed nurse will guide you through the treatment steps and answer any last-minute questions. The ketamine will be administered, and you’ll likely start feeling its effects within minutes. Patients often report sensations such as:

  • Euphoria: A feeling of deep calm or peace.
  • Dream-like State: You might experience changes in perception, including seeing patterns or colors.
  • Increased Focus on Self or Memories: Some describe moments of clarity or increased self-awareness, which can be therapeutic for processing difficult emotions.

Your nurse will monitor you throughout the session to ensure safety and comfort. The treatment itself typically lasts around 40-60 minutes, and you’ll be encouraged to let the experience unfold naturally.

Post-Treatment Care

After your session, you may feel drowsy or introspective. We recommend giving yourself time to rest and avoid making any immediate commitments. Some helpful post-session practices include:

  • Journaling: Recording your thoughts and feelings can help you process your experience and prepare for future sessions.
  • Hydrating and Nourishing Food: Light meals and water can support your body as it returns to its regular state.
  • Support System: It can be helpful to have a trusted friend or family member nearby to talk if you feel like reflecting on your experience.

For your safety, you won’t be able to drive yourself home after the session, and we recommend taking the rest of the day easy.
